Focus and restoration
How does a focus session restore my world?
Choose an available project and a duration, then start your session. A completed session adds time to that project up to its remaining restoration need. Extra minutes do not spill into another project. Ending a session early does not add restoration time.
Can I use PhoNo for free?
Yes. Focus, app blocking, browsing, and the Journal are free. Fernwood and Cloverfields are open from the start. Fully restoring a region opens the next free region, so all six can be earned. Complete World is an optional one-time shortcut to region access.
What does “Just focus” do?
It lets you use the focus timer and optional blocking without contributing restoration minutes to a project.
Screen Time and app blocking
My selected apps are not being blocked.
Open PhoNo’s app-blocking settings and check that Screen Time access is allowed. Make sure you have selected at least one app or category, and that blocking is enabled for the session. Start a new session and check the protection status. After a permission change, close and reopen PhoNo.
A shield is still showing after my session.
Open PhoNo and end any active session or follow its release-pending instructions. If a shield remains, open iOS Settings → Screen Time → Apps with Screen Time Access and turn off access for PhoNo. Reopen PhoNo afterwards. The exact settings label can vary by iOS version. Contact support if the problem repeats.
Do I have to allow Screen Time access?
No. You can use the focus timer and restore projects without it. Permission is needed only for blocking. You can change your selection in PhoNo and revoke access in iOS Settings.
Complete World and purchase restoration
What does Complete World unlock?
It opens all six regions immediately, while local project prerequisites still apply. It does not complete projects or add restoration minutes. There is no recurring subscription. The App Store shows the exact local price before confirmation.
I paid, but the world did not unlock.
First check that Apple’s purchase completed. Open Settings → Complete World in PhoNo, then choose Restore purchases using the same Apple Account that bought it. Make sure you are online. If you recently connected a guest world to Apple, restore the purchase again. Contact support with the approximate purchase date if access is still missing.
Does restoring charge me again?
No. Restore purchases checks eligible purchases already associated with your Apple Account. Your restoration progress and App Store purchase are managed separately.
How do I ask for a refund?
Apple handles refund requests for App Store purchases. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and follow Apple’s instructions. We cannot approve an App Store refund directly.
Your account and saved world
Do I need to sign in with Apple?
No. You can continue as a guest. An online guest account may save your progress using a generated identifier. Connecting with Apple gives you an account you can sign back into. Check world saving status before moving devices or deleting the app.
My world is not showing on another device.
Use the same PhoNo account and allow the app to reconnect. Check world saving status on the original device. A purchase restore does not restore a device-only world. Keep the original app installed and contact support before clearing any data.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings → Your account in PhoNo and choose Delete account or Delete guest account where shown. For a world with no online account, choose Delete local world to remove local data. Follow the confirmation steps. You may need to verify Apple sign-in. Stay online and wait for the app to confirm deletion. Deleting the app alone does not remove server account data.
I cannot open the app. Can I request deletion?
Yes. Email privacy@nomoinc.co with “PhoNo data deletion” in the subject. We may need to verify account ownership. Do not send passwords. If you use an unlinked guest account, avoid uninstalling before contacting us, as it may be harder to identify the account afterwards.
